SATURDAY PROJECTS
Most Saturdays throughout the year, YVC sponsors at least one community service project for youth. These projects are typically in the morning and last 3-4 hours at a Greater Kansas City area nonprofit. Times may vary.- In order to participate in our Saturday projects, you must contact us beforehand and sign up for the project. It's very important to sign up in advance since some projects have limited space and work available.
- Projects are led by trained, first-aid/CPR-certified Team Leaders.
- Each project includes service-learning, team building and reflection activities.
- If you have not volunteered with us before (or have not volunteered since August 14, 2010), please download, print, and complete this form and bring it to the project.
Heaven Sent Charities! This volunteer-run organization works to care for and provide fundamental services such as education assistance, support and resources to children who are orphaned by HIV/AIDS and homeless children in both Jackson and Wyandotte County. We will be helping them sort and relocate their donation room. http://heavensentcharities.org/index.php

LOCATION: 3316 Paseo, Kansas City, MO (in between 33rd and Linwood on The Paseo...look for a house structure)
Grahovac's Army of Volunteers! This non-profit volunteer organization does gardening work with low-income urban farmers who sell their produce at Farmer's Markets and use the rest of what they grow to feed their families. Wear clothes that can get dirty!
TIME: 8:00 am to 12:00 pm
LOCATION: Meet at the Faith Lutheran Church at 530 Quindaro, Kansas City, KS. Walk to work site.
