What is the Presidential Award?
The Presidential Volunteer Service Award is a way to thank and honor Americans who, by their demonstrated commitment and example, inspire others to engage in volunteer service. This award recognizes United States citizens and lawfully admitted permanent residents of the United States who have achieved the required number of hours of service (does not include court-ordered service) over a 12-month time period – or cumulative hours over the course of a lifetime. Recipients are eligible to be awarded again the following year. To learn more about the award visit The President's Volunteer Service Award website.
