The Youth Volunteer Corps (YVC) is a national, not-for-profit network of programs that offer young people, ages 11 to 18, the opportunity to improve their community through volunteering.
Our program has four fundamental goals:
Youth volunteers will have the opportunities. . .
During the school year, young people are recruited from school and youth groups throughout Greater Kansas City to give their time on service projects after school and on weekends. A trained YVC team leader supervises the youth volunteers on all projects. Making a donation: All of our programming is made possible by your donations. We are able to offer all of our programs for free because of the generosity of the public. We accept donations through the vehicle donation program, Cars for a Cause. We also accept donations through PayPal (just be sure to choose the Shawnee Mission, KS affiliate). And you may also donate by check; just make the check out to "Youth Volunteer Corps of Greater Kansas City" and send it to Youth Volunteer Corps of Greater Kansas City, 4600 W. 51st Street, Suite 300, Shawnee Mission, KS 66205.. Becoming an Adult Volunteer: YVC also has opportunities for adults to get involved. Our Adult Volunteers (AVs) assist Team Leaders on projects, recruit and advocate for the YVC in the community and serve as a role model for Youth Volunteers. Click here for more information. |
