April 15th,2017 - YOUNG ACHIEVERS 6to16 TUTORING PROJECT
Volunteers must re-sign up EACH session!
Enjoy working with middle school aged youth? Enjoy tutoring? Want to make a difference for the academic future of kids? Are you at least fifteen years of age. If you answered yes to these questions THIS IS THE PROJECT FOR YOU!
The YMCA has an amazing program called YOUNG ACHIEVERS. The kids in this program work through a curriculum and learn tools that helps them prepare for the future. Youth Volunteers will have the opportunity to educate the Young Achievers on tools needed for high school, college and start the thought process for planning for the future. Even if you haven't thought about college or are not going you can still make a difference!
This program will meet every 1st and 3rd Saturday in the Royal Hall of the UMKC campus. There will be a posting for each session as they come up so there is no confusion as to which one to sign up for.
Come out, make a difference in youths lives. This is a great opportunity to change a young adult's life and perspective.
