Calling all awesome youth!
We have a special opportunity this summer...

If you are looking for a unique opportunity to develop leadership and mentor youth, this is your project. You will partner with YMCA staff and volunteers to lead a group of youth through two full days of activities.

Express Yourself Camp helps children who have experienced a loss or life change to develop healthy coping skills. The camp is designed for kids who have experienced a loss or change, such as the death of a loved one, a divorce in the family, moving, the death of a pet, losing a home, a serious illness in the family or changing schools. Activities will include music therapy, a multimedia project, physical activities, arts and crafts, skits and a closing ceremony. You must be 16 to volunteer.

If you are interested in serving at the Express Yourself Camp, please contact Dylan Terry at DylanTerry@KansasCityYMCA.org.

With a shared commitment to youth development and social responsibility, YVCKC and YMCA of Greater Kansas City are natural partners. By working together, YVCKC and the Y can ensure that more youth ages 11-18 have the opportunity to learn and grow from giving back to their community through organized service opportunities.

Each year, AmeriCorps offers 75,000 opportunities for adults of all ages and backgrounds to serve through a network of partnerships with local and national nonprofit groups. The work we do would not be possible without AmeriCorps!
