WHO WE ARE:

The Youth Volunteer Corps of Greater Kansas City (YVCKC) is part of a national nonprofit network called the Youth Volunteer Corps (YVC). YVC offers youth between the ages of 11 and 18 the opportunity to improve their community through volunteering.

The Youth Volunteer Corps of Greater Kansas City is one of more than 45 affiliates of the YVC. YVC was founded right here in Kansas City! To learn more about the National Program, visit their website.

WEEKEND PROJECTS:

Explore careers and discover your passions through volunteer activities ranging from working with children to food preparation at a shelter.

SUMMER PROJECTS:

Learn teamwork, empathy, self-effectiveness and advocacy during week long service projects.

SPECIAL PROJECTS:

Do something meaningful on your days off from school and other special days throughout the year. Make a difference during holiday breaks, special national holidays and more.

IN-SCHOOL PROJECTS:

Weekly service learning opportunities in schools give all youth the opportunity to serve, even if they lack the resources.
I have become familiar with the incredible feeling that comes from knowing that my actions have changed another person's life for the better. Because of YVC, I realize that my life should not be measured by what I get, but what I give." -Alyssa, Youth Volunteer
